PJ Interiors was commissioned to undertake a full store dilapidation project for the Yorkshire Cancer Research charity shop, preparing the premises for handback and future use.

The works involved the complete removal of all existing shop fittings and equipment. Usable items were carefully dismantled and distributed to other Yorkshire Cancer Research stores, with remaining materials responsibly disposed of in line with waste management regulations.

Our team carried out full internal redecoration throughout the store, alongside the safe removal of redundant electrical points and services. Boxing around the toilet area was removed and replaced to improve finish and compliance, and the existing external signage was carefully taken down.

Health and safety was managed throughout the project, with all works planned and delivered in accordance with current regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both operatives and the public. Through effective coordination and attention to detail, the project was completed efficiently and to the client’s requirements, delivering a clean and compliant space ready for its next phase of use.
